Bruno Januário, Softinsa’s Analytic Software Development Specialist, belonging to the Tomar Innovation Center team, was elected to make a presentation on the EU – Canada Workshop on Joint Research Call on Quantum Technologies program.

This conference, which promotes collaboration between Europe and Canada on Quantum Computing for the period 2021-2027, aims to be a stage for sharing experiences and creating new partnerships in order to implement the projects presented.

The session, which will take place on May 31, at 4 pm, will give the possibility to the six previously selected projects to gain visibility abroad and to get investors for their ideas.

Bruno Januário’s project, the only Portuguese chosen to participate in this program, is called “Pre-disaster quantum solution” and its mission is to detect early and thus prevent road accidents, especially in cities, and the collapse of infrastructure. This system includes the technologies of machine learning, AI and quantum computing (quantum classical-neural networks) such as PyTourch and Qiskit.

“I am very happy with the result and the fact that I can also share my personal achievements with Softinsa. I am proud to be the only Portuguese to compete in the EU – Canada Workshop on Joint Research Call on Quantum Technologies and I hope that my application can bring more value to Softinsa and the country”says Bruno Januário.
